On Tuesday, 21st of March 2023, we had the pleasure to host at APPK Deputy Head of Mission of the German Embassy in Pristina, Mr. Matthias Conrad. In the meeting specially organized for this visit, APPK General Manager, Mr. Bedri Xhafa, and APPK associates, informed Mr. Conrad for twenty three years (23) of APPK experience in implementing projects to support the economic re-integration of various target groups of Kosovar society. In particular, Mr. Conrad was informed about the projects for the economic re-integration of members of the former KPC, after their demobilization in 2008, then returnees from the Western European Countries and region Countries, members of minority groups, job seekers from the cross-border area with Montenegro and Albania – through European Union funded projects, and recently the support of Kosovar youth through Vocational Education and Training programs, with special emphasizes on Germany – as workforce mobility programs.
Mr. Conrad was also informed about the role of APPK in the Kosovar society in the field of Education, Vocational Training and Employment, where APPK closely cooperates with Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, then with the Employment Agency of Republic of Kosovo and the Chambers of Commerce, especially with Kosovar-German Chamber of Commerce. Throughout all the presentations, Mr. Conrad asked questions regarding many issues, and during the discussions it was possible to clarify the role and performance of APPK in the field of employment promotion in Kosovo.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Conrad received a list of APPK projects, of which 200 have been implemented and 20 are in continues implementation.
Also, at the end of the visit, Mr. Conrad, accompanied by APPK General Manager and Associates, visited some of the groups of job-seekers who are attending different Trainings and German language courses at APPK.
