Employment Promotion Agency Kosovo is a non-governmental and non-profit organization, established in 2001 at the Ministry of Public Administration of the Republic of Kosovo and is active in the field of socio-economic reintegration, vocational trainings, certifications, job-placement and self-employment.
APPK is leader in socio-economic reintegration and capacity building of different target groups, by ensuring their socio-economic sustainability and professional advancement, with the aim to have an impact in economic development and general stabilization of the community.
It is the most predominant employment organization in Kosovo, throughout the 20 years APPK has implemented over 110 of projects which were entrusted by different donors such as EU, UNDP, IOM, German government and non-government institutions, as well as other donors. Through these projects more than 42,000 Kosovo citizens have benefited socio-economic integration support.
APPK is partner of international institutions, such as: Pearson in UK, Diakonie, CEB, Colping Academy, Micado Migration, BAMF, Coburg Municipality, all these German institutions, EVBB in Brussel, as well as regional institutions, such as: National Employment Service in Albania, Employment Agency in Montenegro, NGOs from Northern Macedonia, etc., for a number of services in the field of Education, Certification, Training and mediation in education, training and employment.
APPK is also very involved in contributing to national policies in the field of migration, education, employment and in delivering different services with the aim of creating employment opportunities and career advancement for people to progress in their lives.
APPK has a strong partnership with relevant stakeholders in Kosovo (public and non-public institutions), such as: Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, with special emphasis on the Employment Agency of the Republic of Kosovo, is member of the National Qualifications Authority (NQA), Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education (AVETAE), etc.
