Short description of the project:

This project aims to develop an innovative approach to Career Guidance of VET students, by focusing on developing customized training for VET teachers, VET providers, and school counselors. This will allow them to provide more effective guidance to VET students regarding their career prospects. In today’s increasingly interconnected world, enhancing the employability of Vocational Education and Training (VET) students has become a major priority. The convergence of a globalized job market and increased mobility within the European Union has underscored the critical need for effective career guidance for VET students seeking to integrate into the global job market and international working environments. By recognizing the differences between employability skills needed for working at the local or international context, this project places emphasis on equipping key stakeholders in VET institutions, including VET teachers, school counselors, and career guidance personnel, with the knowledge and tools necessary to support students and provide effective career guidance. This is achieved by fostering skills for integration into the global market. The project’s core focus is the development of international career guidance strategies within VET schools. This will be achieved through development and implementation of a unique Capacity Building program which will combine development of skills for effective career guidance and internationalization of VET for VET teachers, counselors, and other staff involved in providing professional guidance and orientation to students. By implementing this knowledge in their school, they will become experts which will provide a compass for students, helping them make informed decisions about their education and career pathways. Capacity building will include different knowledge and skills components such as: comprehensive career assessments, career orientation, information about mobility initiatives, internship opportunities, mentorship programs, and tools for self-projection to the international job context.
